Robert Lewandowski was the hero for Barcelona in their recent victory over Celta Vigo away, continuing his impressive record against the Galician team that night.

Lewandowski’s Interview
The Barcelona striker spoke to the media during the current international break, discussing his future, fitness, and other topics.
He started by addressing whether he was anticipating a move from Barcelona regarding a new contract offer, to which he replied,
“In truth, the matter isn’t about the club’s move.”
“The most important thing is that I myself find an answer to the question: What do I want to do?” he added.
Explaining his uncertainty about the next step in his life, the Polish star stated,
“And so far, I haven’t arrived at a clear answer for myself yet.”
“I’m not in a hurry; I feel an inner calm, and that’s the most important thing,” he added.
Lewandowski then mentioned that even if Barcelona presented an offer now, he would not immediately accept it until he felt continuing was the right choice.
“Even if we assume the club comes now, I won’t respond. Because it also depends on my sense of what is best and most appropriate for me.”
The veteran star was asked about his rapid return from injury, given his age, and the difficulty of recovering quickly as one gets older.
“I’m a different person, this is in my blood,” he began, jovially.
“From the beginning, I was communicating with various specialists. The return date was set from the beginning: 2-3 weeks. And I prepared myself for that,” he added.
Lewandowski then shared how the discomfort vanished in just a few days, making it clear the injury was not as severe as initially thought.
“After two or three days, I felt that I wasn’t suffering from any problem in that muscle. That was strange, because usually with a tear or muscle strain, the first steps are tested: Can you take a step? Can you take another step?”
The Polish star recounted how he quickly advanced through recovery stages and returned to group training.
“As for me, after two or three days, I went into the gym, then to the field. I never thought at all that I was injured, but rather I performed the exercises at 100%.”
Finally, he revealed how he surprisingly felt ready to return to the field much earlier than expected and thus made his way back into Hansi Flick’s plans.
“And that was also a sign to me that the return to the field would be faster than initially expected.”
