The atmosphere was undeniable, the anticipation immense, and the pre-game tension tangible. However, Chelsea remained unfazed and immediately got to work once the referee blew the whistle to start the game.

We could have taken a significant lead shortly after, but Enzo Fernandez had two attempts disallowed; the first due to an unfortunate handball in the fourth minute and the second for a slight offside touch in the twenty-second minute.

Meanwhile, Barcelona missed a clear opportunity, but overall, Chelsea dominated. In the 27th minute, our positive play finally paid off, surviving a VAR review, when a goalmouth scramble from a short corner led to a Jules Kounde own goal, giving us the lead.

The visitors then made a critical error as their captain, Ronald Araujo, brought down Marc Cucurella, earning a second yellow card and an early exit just before half-time.

Chelsea started the second half with the right mindset and quickly found the net, only to have Andrey Santos' precise effort disallowed for offside. Nevertheless, we soon extended our lead, courtesy of a brilliant, captivating, and star-making solo performance by Estevao.

Despite being reduced to ten men, Barcelona remained a threat, but Chelsea stayed focused. Liam Delap scored his first goal for Chelsea after being assisted by Enzo, with VAR overturning the linesman's incorrect offside call, making it 3-0. With 20 minutes left, we had several opportunities to further enhance the scoreline.

We didn’t; it was impressive enough.
