US President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino have introduced the ‘FIFA pass’.

This initiative aims to speed up the visa process for fans attending the 2026 World Cup.

It prioritizes tourist visas for those planning to attend World Cup matches in the US.

The process and verification remain the same, but applicants will experience shorter wait times.

While holding a match ticket does not guarantee US entry, it does facilitate a quicker appointment.

Nonetheless, Trump and Infantino advise everyone planning to visit the US for the World Cup to begin the process early, rather than waiting until the last minute.

On November 17, 2025, President Donald Trump met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to form a White House task force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

During the meeting, they announced the FIFA PASS program, designed to expedite visa processing for ticket holders, with the goal of reducing wait times to under 60 days for most applicants.

This initiative comes in anticipation of 6-7 million visitors. Officials expect the tournament to generate over $30 billion in economic impact and create nearly 200,000 jobs across 16 U.S. host cities.
